6 organic ingredients

All our ingredients are organic and vegan, and chosen with the greatest care. Our final powder to foam formula is a result of a long working relationship with the local scientists. Read more about our story here. We were determined to leave out the bad stuff, like SLSs and parabens and turn to sustainably sourced ingredients that serve the wellbeing of you and the planet.

Here are our 6 heroes:

Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate

which we call Doc C, makes sure our hand wash is effectively cleansing your skin, protecting you from bacteria and viruses.

Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate

It is derived from coconut oil and fermented sugar and is gentle enough to care for even the most sensitive of skins.

Sodium Coco-Sulfate

which we named Coco Hug, creates the luxurious foam that makes using Ari hand wash a magical ritual.

Sodium Coco-Sulfate

Sodium Coco-Sulfate is made from the fatty acids of coconut oil and creates a rich skin-cleansing foam that we love.

Citric acid

at Ari we say Lemon Peel, preserves the quality of your hand wash for many moons.

Citric acid

Citric Acid is an organic acid found in fruits and vegetables, especially in citrus fruits. First isolated in 1784 from the lemon juice and imported from Italy by Englishman William Scheele, It is celebrated for its preservative quality and ability to act as a pH buffer. You can find citric acid in many ingredients in your kitchen: for example, this “sour salt” facilitates the ripening process when making cheese.

Sorbitol

which we like to call Sweet Balance, helps our handwash to keep your microbiome optimally balanced.

Sorbitol

Sorbitol is a type of sugar that can be created synthetically or derived from natural sources. First isolated in 1872 from the juice of the rowan tree berries by a French chemist Jean- Baptiste Boussingault, sorbitol is also found in many other fruits, such as plums, apples and cherries. As a prebiotic it can balance your skin’s microbiome by “feeding” your natural probiotics. Sorbitol’s breakdown by probiotics can create beta-glucan, a skin-calming antioxidant.

Potassium Sorbate

who is our Sophisticated Protector, makes sure our hand wash is protected from unwanted invaders.

Potassium Sorbate

Discovered by the French in the 1850s, Potassium Sorbate is found in vegetables and fruits, such as the berries of the mountain ash. Its primary role is to fight the bacteria, which has made Potassium Sorbate one of the most widely used and effective food-grade preservatives in the last few decades.

Sodium Benzoate

with Ari’s nickname Salty Berry keeps the formula of our powder-to-foam handwash solid and safe.

Sodium Benzoate

Sodium Benzoate is a salt found in fruits and vegetables, particularly cranberries, plums, cinnamon, ripe cloves, and apples. This ingredient is used most frequently as a preservative, preventing the development of bacteria and fungi from anything that have found their way into the bottle through use.

Ari Scents

Details matter. Searching for the right scents to delight your senses and meet our quality requirements was a lengthy but exciting process. Finally, we came across a family owned company that has been creating natural and organic fragrances for years. All of our natural scents are certified organic and come from only the purest sources – toxins, chemicals, and synthetics are never used in the production.

Forest (Pine)

With Forest (Pine) our goal was to offer you a scented journey to Northern Europe. Forests are an important part of our lifestyle and cultural memory, covering about 50% of the territory of our country – around 2 million hectares. For us, Forest brings back beautiful childhood memories, evening walks amongst the tall pine trees, and picking berries and mushrooms in autumn.

Blossom (Magnolia)

Blossom (Magnolia) brings a bit of sweetness into your day. It makes us think of the first warm breeze in spring that carries a whiff of pure joy, knowing that the full bloom of the summer is not far away. We have chosen the noble scent of magnolia, the flower that symbolises dignity, beauty and gentleness in many traditions since the ancient times.

Unscented

Go minimal if your skin or senses are extra-sensitive. Zero scent added. Sometimes less is truly more and we enjoy our products naked. Like having a clean canvas to paint on. Our unscented version is also a safe choice for small children. Zero worries with this one.
